Welcome to The Charity Barn
We are a Charitable Trust registered as: The Free Shop and Paint Exchange Charitable Trust.
We are based in Christchurch, New Zealand and our goal is to help the less fortunate people in our communities by selling donated goods and paint.
Our Paint Exchange has a huge range of paint and painting supplies at very reasonable prices.
Our Second hand goods shop is overflowing with Books, Furniture, Clothing and Electrical items. Again, all at very reasonable prices with many items free.
We pay all profits, less operating costs to charities such as Marys Meals.
You can find us at 526 Blenheim Road, past the Sockburn roundabout heading into the city.
We are always looking for donations of goods and volunteers so if you have any goods that we can re-sell, or would like to lend a hand, then please come in and see us between 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday.

Our VolunteersThe Charity Shop wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the volunteers that give their time every day to sort through the donations that we receive. Thank you all. We are always looking for more help so please contact us if you have a spare hour. DonationsWe need your donated goods so clear out your attic or garage and let us put it to good use. Please remember that we do not get any concessions on dumping rubbish at the dump so we would appreciate it if you didn't leave any rubbish such as soggy mattresses, broken furniture or TV sets on our premises.
